Celebrate the opening of Beatriz Milhazes: Maresias with a special preview taking place after hours.

Known for colourful, large-scale canvases, Milhazes is influenced by multiple sources including Brazilian and European modernism, Catholic iconography and Baroque colonial architecture.

Nature is an increasingly important theme in her work, and she finds inspiration in the landscapes around her Rio studio.

The evening will begin in the Foyle Studio where a pop-up bar will be available, this will be followed by entry to the exhibition.
